A graduate from the University of the Philippines with degrees in B.S. Psychology and Civil Engineering, Ferdie (as he is more popularly called) pursued his career as a visual artist. As a multi-awarded artist he is known as a sculptor, a painter, and a graphic artist and is mostly known for his sculptures for dancers, shoes, trees and fishing villages. Among his known works are the sculptures he created for BGC, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, the Asian Institute of Management, the Yuchengco Group of Companies, the University of the Philippines (his Alma Matter) to name a few. He has likewise participated in solo and group exhibits

both here and abroad.

There is a feeling of calmness and serenity in the works of Rico Lascano due to his minimalist approach which captures the essence of Zen. His works are refreshing and relaxing, a welcome change from the fast paced world that we live in. Aside from the homes of private collectors, Rico’s works are likewise seen in public places like hotels and recently, his work is part of the permanent art collection of Museo ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. A graduate from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor's Degree in Visual Communication, Rico had exhibits both here and abroad where his works have found its way in homes in Amsterdam, Australia, USA and locally for its international appeal.
